Bordi Beach Bordi Beach is a very safe beach - the water does not rise above the waist for half a kilometer. The entire stretch of the beach from Dhanu to Bordi is beautiful. It has a backdrop of orchards of different fruits, the main ones being chikoo. The specialty of the beach is that it is natural and calm. Even though the beach is connected with outside town, it is unspoiled and refreshing. The beach has no artificial make up. The sands on this beach are not white but blackish and a bit sticky - the natural form of sand.

Bahrot Caves Bahrot mountain is 1500 feet high. It is located 20 km south of Sanjaan. The brave Zarathosti ancestors hid themselves from the Muslim invaders among these mountains. They were in hiding for 13 long years. This incident took place in the year 1351 AD. The ‘Iranshah Flame’ was also taken by the Zarathosti to Bahrot. Inside the main cave, a Jashan can be performed, to pay respect to those brave men, who gave their lives to keep the Iranshah Atash Behram burning for ever. Even today the Holy Fire is burning, and it is given the most eminent grade of devoted fire in the world.

Asavli dam The Asavli Dam is on a green lake surrounded by mountains on one side. On the other side of the dam are waste weir fields. As the Great Pyramids of Egypt, this dam was also manually built. There is a beautiful picnic spot near the dam. Mountains with Bahrot caves can also be seen near the dam. Other dams and reservoirs are located close to the dam. The best time to visit is the monsoon season. It is great to splash through the rain to the Asavli dam. You can enjoy peace and loneliness near the dam.

Depchari Dam The Depchari Dam and Reservoir is a big lake. It is bigger in dimension than that of the Asavli dam. The surroundings of the Depchari Dam and Reservoir is calm and peaceful. No souls can be seen around the dam as in Asavli. The Depchari Dam and Reservoir is one of the biggest lakes in Bordi. It is serene, and people can relax here as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The background is full of trees and it has a greenish outlook.
Dahanu Fort At (Dahanu)((20) Km) Before Independence, the Dahanu Fort was in the hands of the British. After freedom, the fort was converted into a jail. It is one of the tourist attractions of Dahanu. In January 1739, the fort of Dahanu was captured by the Marathas under the leadership of Chimaji Rao Appa. Around 1817 AD, the fort was taken over by the British through a ‘Treaty of Bassein’. The fort is on the north bank of the river, at a short distance from its mouth. The fort is built of cut stones. The walls are 38 feet high and 10 feet thick. They were in excellent condition, but in 1818 the terraces were ruined.
