A Beach town on the shores of the Arabian sea. A beach made popular by it's white sand, blue seas, green mountains, paddy fields and rivulets. It has a 3 km stretch of beach tucked in between two hillocks with Casuarina groves all around the sea shore. It is a quiet beach that doesn't witness the throngs of people especially during weekdays. It is a beach where one can go and ruminate about anything and everything on the surface of this earth and no one would be there to impede the chain of his/her thoughts. Its a place where one is left with oneself and is free to be the way he/she likes to be. On weekends the sea shore does attract it's fair share of visitors. The waves here are unusually high and can be paradise for surfing. The waves can reach a height 5–6 feet even during the non-monsoon months. However it is dangerously high during the monsoons and surfing is not recommending during the months of June to September.
